5 Days Safari Kenya /
Day 1, Nairobi- Aberdares national park. (175 Kms, 3hrs)
You will be picked up in Nairobi and drive to Aberdares National Park to meet your lunch at Aberdares country club which is a base serving for the Ark lodge. Afternoon transfer to the Ark lodge where you will spend the rest of your day watching animals coming to drink water and lick salts at the floodlit waterhole. This park is famous for its historical royal connection. One afternoon in February of 1952, a young English girl climbed the fig tree as a Princess. The following morning, she descended as Queen Elizabeth II – her father, King George VI, had died in the night. The park is mostly covered with thicket forest and game viewing drives is minimal and can only be organized by the Lodge at an extra cost. Different Varieties of wildlife come to take water at the flood lit waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the Ark lodge.
Day 2, Aberdares- Lake Nakuru National Park.
Have a hot coffe early in the morning then transeffred to the abardares country clud for your hearty breakfast. Depart for lake Nakuru national park via the the northern tip of aberdare ranges. Should time permit you will have a brief stop at the Thompson falls before descending to the Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon game viewing drives with dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 3, 2016: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve 320 Kms, 4 ½ hrs)
Breakfast at the lodge followed by a brief game viewing drive out of the park as you head to Africa’s greatest Masai Mara national reserve. Proceed expecting to arrive in time for Lunch. Have an evening game viewing drive in the reserve. Everything in this reserve looks outstanding and the open savannah grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. FB
Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve.
Spend the whole day at leisure with morning and afternoon Game viewing drives in the reserve. The morning and afternoon game drives will introduce you to buffalo, hyena, cheetah, antelope and much more. While any time of year is wonderful to visit Africa, those who visit between July and October will see the Great Migration, when zebras, Thomson’s gazelles and wildebeests travel across the Serengeti – it is a massive migration and is truly awe-inspiring. No matter when you visit, you will also have a chance to take a “walking safari”, or visit a local tribal village if you wish. You will learn about the Maasai way of life and how they have managed to retain their semi-nomadic customs even in today’s modern world, when so much of their world is at risk. After all these adventures, you will be more than ready for a mid-day nap or laze on the veranda to escape the heat of the day. . All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Masai Mara- Nairobi/Departure. (280 Kms, 4 ½ hrs)
After your last Safari breakfast, depart for Nairobi with some enroute stop overs along the way. Lunch will be on own arrangements. Drop off at the airport in time to connect with your outbound flight back home.
